Welcome to Ilm. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Ilm mobile application ("App") operated by Type Advantage ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use our App.

Description of Service

Ilm is an Islamic app that provides comprehensive Islamic answers referenced by the Quran. The app utilizes artificial intelligence to generate content and responses to user queries.

User Accounts

To access certain features of the App, you must create a user account by providing an email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

1. Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
2. Update your information as needed to keep it accurate and current
3. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Subscription and Payment Terms

Free and Premium Services

Ilm offers both free and premium services. Premium features require payment of subscription fees.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed through third-party app stores (Google Play Store and Apple App Store). The payment terms, methods, and processing are governed by the respective app store's policies.

Subscription Management and Cancellation

Subscriptions are managed through your app store account. To cancel your subscription, please follow the cancellation procedures provided by your app store provider.

Refunds

Refund policies are determined and administered by the respective app stores (Google Play Store and Apple App Store). We do not process refunds directly. Please refer to the relevant app store's refund policy for more information.

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The content provided by Ilm is generated through artificial intelligence technology and is for informational purposes only. While we strive to ensure accuracy and adherence to authentic Islamic teachings:

1. The AI-generated content should not be considered as authoritative religious rulings (fatwa)
2. Users should verify important religious information with qualified Islamic scholars
3. We do not guarantee the absolute accuracy or completeness of all AI-generated responses
4. The app should be used as a supplementary resource rather than the sole source for religious guidance

Acceptable Use

When using our App, you agree not to:

1. Use the App in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations
2. Use the App to send, knowingly receive, upload, or download any material that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable
3. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App
4. Use the App in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair it
5. Use any robot, spider, or other automatic device to access the App
6. Use the App for commercial purposes without our prior written consent

Intellectual Property

The App, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by Type Advantage and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any content from our App without our prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Type Advantage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

1. Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App
2. Any conduct or content of any third party on the App
3. Any content obtained from the App
4. Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Type Advantage disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Type Advantage, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) resulting from your violation of these Terms or your use of the App.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding its existence, validity, or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by the courts of South Africa.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Type Advantage regarding our App and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals, or representations, written or oral, concerning its subject matter.
